Registered Expert: Blue Badge Guide

When you book a tour with London Strides you can rest assured that we know what we’re talking about.

Our guides are the proud owners of a Blue Badge the highest professional recognition of guiding in this country. This means that they have completed an intensive course and no less than 12 exams on the history and sites of the city over the course of 2 years.

To say they know their stuff would be an understatement.

Blue badge guides are the only external guides allowed to take tours around some of the city’s biggest sites, including the Tower of London and Westminster Abbey and the only guides entrusted to take you around the city’s many spectacular museums.

Of course, while all our tours are highly educational, we aim to impart a bit more than the facts and figures. To really get to the heart of the story of the city, you need to understand the context. That’s why all our tours aim to go deeper and give you a more rounded experience- we don’t just want to tell you about it, we want you to experience it for yourself.

A tour from us is a step above what many tourists have come to expect.

Small Groups, Bigger Experiences

Most of our tours consist of smaller groups than many of our competitors- typically being between 6 and 12 members. While this means our tours are a little more expensive, we believe the trade-off for this is more than worth it.

Smaller groups give us a number of advantages over our competitors:

• Agility- tighter numbers mean that we can move about the city more easily and each member of the group can be guaranteed a front row seat to each point of interest
• Speed- we can cover more ground, offering better value, by reducing the amount of time waiting for stragglers to catch up.

• One on One time- smaller groups mean that our guide can take that bit longer with each member of the group to chat and answer any questions.

All of the tours we advertise on this site are crafted and designed with real local knowledge to offer what we think is the best general experience, but we know that each person is different and we believe that means we need to be fully flexible.

With London Strides, you’re the boss. If you want to explore something we don’t advertise, to dig deeper into a topic, to go off the beaten path- all you have to do is ask.

All of our tours are fully customisable and we can even create one from scratch to suit your personal interests.

We can even combine two or more of our tours into a full day experience if that’s what you want. Like we said, you’re the boss.
