What to Know Before Your Changing of the Guard Tour
Accessibility: This tour is not suitable for guests using wheelchairs, strollers, or those with walking difficulties.
Cancellation Policy: Free cancellation is available up to 24 hours before the scheduled tour start time.
Sunday Tours: Sunday tours feature the Sunday Parade version of the Changing of the Guard ceremony and start at 9:00 AM.
Monday, Wednesday & Friday Tours: Tours on Monday, Wednesday and Friday start at 10:00 AM.
Buckingham Palace Front Gates: Please note that this walking tour does not visit the front gates of Buckingham Palace.
Much of the Changing of the Guard ceremony takes place away from the Palace gates.
Strategic Viewing Locations: Rather than remaining behind the large crowds at the Palace railings, the guide uses carefully selected viewing points around Buckingham Palace, St James’s Palace, Wellington Barracks and The Mall to experience different stages of the ceremony.
Important: If your priority is specifically to visit the front gates of Buckingham Palace, this tour may not be suitable for your requirements.
